EUROLEAGUE ALL-DECADE SELECTION: Theodoros Papaloukas
No other sixth man in world basketball history has earned awards and recognition on the same level as Theo Papaloukas. As such, he has becom a revolutionary figure in basketball, a bench player who influenced his teams' success to such an extent that he is considered among the game's international superstars. Papaloukas not only showed a unique skill for injecting his expertise as a passer and scorer at the right moments, but in so doing opened the door to new ways of achieving success for all players to follow him. A tall playmaker with incredible leadership and court vision, Papaloukas led his teams to seven consecutive Final Fours. With CSKA, he won Euroleague titles in 2006 - when he earned the Final Four MVP honours - and in 2008. The season in between, he was MVP while reaching the title game again with CSKA. Last season, Papaloukas led Olympiacos to its first Final Four in 10 years. Along the way, Papaloukas has been selected to the All-Euroleague twice and ends the decade as the competition's first-ranked player in both assists and steals.
