by: Euroleague.net
January 14, 2010
Charismatic, powerful and strong, Joe Blair shined in Europe's signature club competition early in this decade. Blair became the Euroleague regular season in 2002-03 and made it to the All-Euroleague second team in 2001-02. An outstanding rebounder at both ends, Blair opened the decade playing for PAOK and then averaged a double-double with Scavolini Pesaro (15.6 ppg., 11.9 rpg.) in the 2001-02 season. Blair stayed as a dominant force with Ulker in each of the last two seasons and also played for Milano in 2005-06. His 31 career double-doubles say it all - Blair was a reference due to his fighting spirit, hard-nosed attitude and determination.
