EUROLEAGUE ALL-DECADE CANDIDATE: Ibrahim Kutluay
A legendary shooter with unlimited range and great determination, Kutluay's impact in European basketball goes far beyong his great achievements on the court. Kutluay became the first Turk to win a European title while also being the first athlete ever from his country to play for a first-division Greek team in any sport. Of course, that all happened with Panathinaikos in 2002, when he and the Greens mounted one of the greatest comebacks ever in the Euroleague title game. Kutluay scored a team-high 22 points in that final and was as deserving as anyone ever to lift the Euroleague trophy. That was the highlight of an eight-season Euroleague career with stops in AEK, Ulker and Fenerbahce. Kutluay, a fan-favourite for all Panathinaikos fans, broke borders with his three-pointers, fighting spirit and unique clutch performance.
