EUROLEAGUE ALL-DECADE SELECTION: Anthony Parker
An athletic swingman with poise, talent and a knack for winning - especially in the biggest games - Anthony Parker became a superstar by leading Maccabi Tel Aviv to back-to-back Euroleague titles in 2004 and 2005. No team had been able to repeat in more than a generation, and Parker was Maccabi's undisputed leader. He was named Euroleague MVP in the second of those title seasons and the one that followed, becoming the only player so honored in consecutive years. Parker's alley-oop dunks, finesse and good-as-gold mid-range shot turned him into an icon for Maccabi fans, though he was respected for his professionalism as much as he was admired for his talent. Between 2004 and 2006, Parker piled up trophies as double champion, two-time all-Euroleague first-team selecion and Final Four MVP. Parker and Maccabi reached another title game in 2006, just missing on a historic three-peat, but by then their legacy together had been cemented as Parker simply dominated the Euroleague at his peak. He still holds the single-season record for performance index ratings in a season, 2004-05, and had the next-best rating the following one. Parker also hit the second-most free throws in any season all decade and and 2005-06 seasons still rank first and second for the decade.
· Euroleague champion 2004, 2005, Maccabi Elite
· Euroleague finalist 2006
· Euroleague MVP 2005, 2006
· Final Four MVP 2004
· All-Euroleague first team 2005, 2006
