EUROLEAGUE ALL-DECADE CANDIDATE: Nikola Pekovic
One of the most powerful young big men in basketball, center Nikola Pekovic is practically unstoppable when he gets the ball inside. Pekovic went from role player to Euroleague superstar in the 2007-08 season, leading Partizan to the Quarterfinal Playoffs and knocking off Panathinaikos in the Top 16, making it to the All-Euroleague second team. It came as no surprise than coach Zeljko Obradovic brought him into the Green family the following season. Pekovic finishing his first season with Panathinaikos as the team’s leading scorer, not to mention the Euroleague's top-rated player and best scorer on a per-minute basis. Not surprisingly, Pekovic was voted to the All-Euroleague First Team and won his first Euroleague title. Strong a powerful, the future looks nothing but bright for Pekovic.
