EUROLEAGUE ALL-DECADE CANDIDATE: Tiago Splitter
A dominant big man despite his young age, Tiago Splitter was a driving force as his team, Tau Ceramica, reached four consecutive Final Fours. By age 24, at the end of his sixth season in the competition, Splitter was voted to the All-Euroleague First Team at center. Splitter was the perfect complement to older stars in his early years at Tau Ceramica, now called Caja Laboral. Splitter helped the club go from a contender to a Final Four regular with an amazing four consecutive appearances in the semifinals from 2005 to 2008. The first of those saw Tau upset host CSKA to reach the title game. The last of those coincided with Splitter being named to the All-Euroleague First Team. Strong, powerful and with great post moves, Splitter is savvy beyond is years and good for all-out effort every moment on the floor, a true example for Euroleague big men to follow him.
