EUROLEAGUE ALL-DECADE CANDIDATE: Marko Jaric
A one-of-a-kind superstar early this decade, Marko Jaric was an original Euroleague champion with Kinder Bologna in 2001. Versatile and intense, Jaric broke all existing molds in European basketball as a tall, strong playmaker with the ballhandling, creativity and court sense to match up at several positions. Jaric made it to the 2002 All-Euroleague first team and returned to the title game that season, although Panathinaikos stood in the way of a Kinder repeat. Jaric returned to the competition at the end of the decade as a veteran hoping to pick up where he left off. Now 31 and playing for Real Madrid, Jaric is hoping to provide the experience needed to lead his new team to its first Euroleague title since 1995.
