Lithuanian champs Zalgiris Kaunas announced on Thursday the addition of big man Ratko Varda (213, 29) for the next two years. Varda arrives from ViveMenorca of the Spanish League where last season he played 29 games averaging 8.6 points and 3.8 rebounds.

Euroleague newcomer Air Avellino confirmed its latest addition for the upcoming season. The Italian team announced a two-year deal with Argentinian point guard Antonio Porta (188, 25). Porta comes back to Italy after a short span in the Russian League with Spartak St. Petersburg where he averaged 7.0 points, 3.0 boards and 3.4 assists in 10 games last season.
