 Since arriving at CSKA Moscow five years ago as an accomplished scorer, point guard J.R. Holden has made it his business to improve his defense every season. At age 30 and about to compete in his fifth consecutive Final Four, Holden has gone through just about everything at the highest levels, from losing three straight Final Four semifinals to lifting the Euroleague trophy in Prague last season. Holden has been critically acclaimed as one of the best Euroleague defensive players this season, as well as averaging 10.1 points, 2.3 assists and 1.2 steals so far. Moreover, Holden is a key piece for CSKA in terms of experience, leadership and know-how, and now he is all set to defend the Euroleague title.
