Euroleague Basketball unveils the new ULEB Summer League!
ULEB Summer LeagueEuroleague Basketball becomes a game for all seasons with the introduction of the ULEB Summer League, an exciting new showcase event for talented players from around the world. Running from June 28 to July 1 in Jesolo, Italy, the ULEB Summer League brings together experienced free agents and promising young players from several of the Euroleague's biggest clubs, as well as a team from as far away as China, representing the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA). The interest level goes beyond just players, however, as former legends Riccardo Pittis and Marcelo Nicola have signed up to participate as coaches on the free agent teams. The four-day event is sure to become a magnet for basketball professionals from all over the world looking to identify talent for now and the future. Fans can do the same, however, because Eurosport 2 will broadcast at least eight games live during the weekend to 43 European countries and to the Asia and Pacific regions. So get ready to enjoy a new Euroleague Basketball experience, the ULEB Summer League!

As with other types of expansion, including the chance to see games in 162 countries around the world in-season, the ULEB Summer League brings Euroleague Basketball quality and action to a new audience in a new format. Among the Euroleague clubs participating are Maccabi Elite Tel Aviv, Zalgiris Kauanas, Benetton Treviso, Union Olimpija and Lottomatica Roma. The CBA team, which includes double-digit scorers from the Chinese domestic league, will make a first-of-its-kind appearance in Europe. Two free agent teams will feature players who were among the top-ranked ULEB Cup scorers last season and who are graduating university stars from the United States. All told, the eight participating teams will play in a total of 16 games starting at 14:45 CET each day from Thursday, June 28 through Sunday, July 1.
