NBA Europe Live post-game quotes: Estudiantes 73-98 Memphis
Memphis Grizzlies head coach Marc Iavaroni
"We got a good start, yeah, which was something we talked about after the last game, being consistent. In Malaga we had played good for awhile and poorly for awhile during the whole game. I know the players talked among themselves about that, and the staff agreed, of the need to start good but to make it continue, which we did tonight. Here in Spain we have seen good basketball, but we knew from TV in America and the Olympics and World Championships that these teams are well coached, move the ball well and, on the technical side, they are cutting-edge in terms of ball movement and team play. They are tall, strong and physical, too. The NBA has done things to enhance the offense, but in Europe it remains very physical and American teams need to be aware of that when they come over to play here."

MMT Estudiantes head coach Mariano De Pablos
"We came out nervous and not ready to play. Maybe we took too seriously thinking about our next ACB game on Saturday, I don't know, but it was not a pretty start. Our guys are not accustomed to all the pre-game stuff that went on - the pauses, the speeches and so on - so maybe that had something to do with it. But basically it was a problem of not having the right attitude, and before we knew it, in the first quarter the game was over. We were trying to have our guys work on the details, the same things all teams go through this time of year about communicating and playing together, but we couldn't move forward on the scoreboard. Our good defense up until now didn't show on the court and our rhythm was awful. We just kept playing pass and shoot, pass and shot. We couldn't change that until the second part, which was a little better. We got something out of the second half, but the first half was worthless to us."
