Nothing changed atop the Adriatic League board, as Partizan keeps leading the standings with a 9-1 record by downing Buducnost 85-80 in Belgrade on Saturday. Milenko Tepic paced the winners with 19 points, Dusan Kecman added 14 while Bojan Bakic led Buducnost with 15 points. Meanwhile, Red Star stayed second now at 8-2 by edging FMP 83-86 in Zeleznik also on Saturday. Tadija Dragicevic led the winners with 20 points but Omar Cook added 6 of his 19 points in a final 1-13 run that allowed Red Star to escape with a win. Zadar is now third at 7-3 by edging Helios 83-91 in Domzale on Saturday behind 26 points from Todor Gecevski and 19 from Corey Brewer. Cibona joins a three-way tie for the fourth place at 6-4 by downing cross-town rivals Zagreb 75-85 behind 20 points each from Marin Rozic and Chris Warren while Hemofarm Stada also improved to 6-4 by thrashing Geoplin Slovan 80-97 in Ljubljana on Saturday. Vladan Vukosavljevic led the way for Hemofarm with 29 points. Union Olimpija dropped to 6-4 due to a 75-74 road loss against Split while Vojvodina topped Siroki 77-69.
Partizan Igokea stayed atop the Adriatic League standings with a 9-1 record by downing Buducnost 85-80 in Belgrade on Saturday. Tepic paced the winners with 19 points, Kecman added 14, Milt Palacio had 12 and Nikola Pekovic 10 for Partizan. Bakic had 15 points for Buducnost, Ivan Maras and Vladimir Micov each added 13 while Vladislac Dragojlovic got 12 for the guests. The game saw as many as 12 lead changes before a 8-0 run that Petar Bozic capped with a triple allowed Partizan to get a 63-55 edge after 30 minutes. Back-to-back triples by Maras got Buducnost within 81-77, but Kecman and Palacio sealed the outcome from the foul line. Red Star stays right behind at 8-2 by edging FMP 83-86 in Zeleznik also on Saturday. Dragicevic led the winners with 20 points, Cook added 19, Mirko Kovac had 16 while Boris Bakic got 10 for Red Star. Bojan Krstovic had 21 points for FMP while Marko Djerasimovic, Djordje Milic and Filip Covic each added 10 for the hosts, who led 82-74 with 5 minutes to go. Red Star improved its defense while Cook had the final 6 points in a 1-13 run that allowed the guests to escape with a big road win. Hemofarm Stada improved to 6-4 by thrashing Geoplin Slovan 80-97 in Ljubljana on Saturday. Vukosavljevic led the way for Hemofarm with 29 points, Rawle Marshall added 19, Goran Jagodnik had 14, Nebojsa Joksimovic 12 and Boris Savovic 11 for the winners, who led 38-50 at halftime and managed to keep a safe lead until the final buzzer.
Zadar is now third at 7-3 by edging Helios 83-91 in Domzale on Saturday. Gecevski led the winners with 26 points, Brewer added 19, Shammel Stallworth and Andrej Stimac each had 11 while Rok Stipcevic got 10 for Zadar, that trailed 70-69 with 7 minutes to go. A 2-15 run that Gecevski capped with a jumper broke the game open, 72-84, and the hosts never recovered. Cibona joins a three-way tie for the fourth place at 6-4 by downing cross-town rivals Zagreb 75-85 behind 20 points each from Rozic and Warren. Damir Mulaomerovic added 13 while Larry Ayuso had 10 for Cibona, that led 32-50 at halftime and managed to keep a double-digit margin all the way until the final buzzer. Union Olimpija dropped to 6-4 due to a 75-74 road loss against Split. Andrija Stepanovic paced the winners with 18 points. Marko Milic had 19 points for Olimpija, Goran Dragic added 16 while Chris Booker got 10. It all came down to the final minute, as Dragic scored for a 72-74 Olimpija edge. Dejan Ivanov stepped up with a three-point play, but Booker and Milic missed in the other end in the game's final possession.
