Sluc Nancy stayed atop the French League standings with a 9-1 record by downing Le Havre 92-77 at home on Saturday. Michael Bauer paced the winners with a big double-double of 31 points and 11 rebounds, allowing Nancy to break the game in the fourth quarter. Asvel Basket improved to 8-2 and stayed second by beating Chorale Roanne 92-80 in Lyon on Sunday behind 33 points and 10 rebounds from Lamayn Wilson, who had 16 points in the fourth period. Marc Salyers had 31 points for Roanne. Strasbourg improved to 4-6 by downing Pau-Orthez 90-76 at home on Saturday behind 16 points from Aaron Pettway, while Le Mans ties for the third place at 7-3 by edging Chalon 62-72 on the road on Friday. Nebojsa Bogavac led the winners with 14 points. In other games, Orleans edged Vichy 53-57, Cholet downed Gravelines 82-70, Paris-Levallois topped Hyeres-Toulon 81-72 while Dijon bested Clermont 83-93 behind 25 points from Terrell Everett.

Jeff Greer and Bauer combined for 5 triples in the final 7 minutes to make Nancy cruise to yet another home win. Uche Nsonwu added 28 points on 12-for-13 two-pointers while Chevon Troutman had 14 for Asvel. Salyers had 31 points for Roanne, Ron Hale added 11 in his French League debut while Adam Hess and Pape Badiane each got 10 for the guests. An unstoppable Salyers had 18 points in the first half and helped Roanne to get a 45-48 edge at the break. Wilson and Nsonwu fueled a 9-0 run that put Asvel ahead for good, 64-57. Wilson had 16 points in the fourth quarter to make Asvel cruise to an important home win.
Strasbourg improved to 4-6 by downing Pau-Orthez 90-76 at home on Saturday. Pettway paced the winners with 16 points. Eddie Shannon added 15, Gauthier Darrigand had 14 while Derrick Obasohan got 12 for Strasbourg. Shaun Fein had 14 points for Pau, that dropped to 2-8. Thierry Rupert added 12 while Ludovic Vaty had 11 and 12 rebounds for the guests. Pettway had 14 points in the first quarter to give Strasbourg a 27-13 lead. Pau managed to get within 45-41 early in the third quarter, but a 19-4 run that Afik Nissim capped with a triple broke the game open, 75-53, after 30 minutes and sealed the outcome. Le Mans ties for the third place at 7-3 by edging Chalon 62-72 on the road on Friday. Bogavac led the winners with 14 points, Alain Koffi added 13, Sam Clancy had 12 and Luka Bogdanovic 10 for Le Mans. Rowan Barrett had 14 points for Chalon, that dropped to 3-7. John Ford added 12 while Shawnta Rogers added 11 for the hosts. An outstanding second quarter allowed Le Mans to break the game open, as a 3-24 run that Bogavac capped with a triple made it a 26-point game, 21-47, at the break. Chalon tried to get back in the game, but Le Mans held off the hosts' rally to add a well-deserved win.
