Baltic League, Game 13: January 19, 2008

 Lietuvos Rytas leads the Baltic League standings with a 13-1 record, with Zalgiris Kaunas right behind at 12-1. L. Rytas did not find much trouble to beat ASK Riga 85-65 in Vilnius on Saturday. Andrius Slezas paced the winners with 16 points. Marijonas Petravicius added 14 while Kenan Bajramovic and Chuck Eidson each had 12 for L. Rytas, that led 45-30 at halftime and never looked back. Dwayne Broyles had 16 points for ASK, that dropped to 8-5. Ernests Kalve added 12 while Dairis Bertrans had 10 for the guests. Meanwhile, Zalgiris beat Tartu Rock 87-77 in Kaunas also on Saturday. Marko Popovic led the winners with 18 points. Paulius Jankunas had 17, Marcus Brown added 15 and Jonas Maciulis 13, 9 rebounds and 8 steals for Zalgiris, that led 45-30 at halftime. Tartu got within 70-69 with 4 minutes to go, but Popovic and DeJuan Collins stepped up to make Zalgiris add another win. Siauliai dropped to 10-6 due to a 91-94 home loss against Barons/LMT. Demetrius Alexander led the winners with 18 points. Donatas Zavackas had 23 points for Siauliai while Antonio Grant added 21. Siauliai got its last lead at 50-49 but managed to get within 91-92 with 23 seconds to go. Marius Prekevicius missed a game-tying three-point shot at the buzzer. In other games, Neptunas edged Valmiera 81-79 on Saturday.
