Another week, another Ukrainian League win for BC Kyiv, that improved to 16-0 by downing difficult Khimik 67-81 on the road on Saturday. Artur Drozdov paced the winners with 27 points while Marko Maravic added 15 for Kyiv, that got a 8-27 margin after 10 minutes and managed to keep a safe lead all the way until the final buzzer. Azovmash stayed second and improved to 13-3 by beating MBC Mykolaiv 107-92 in Mariupol also on Saturday. Panagiotis Liadelis and Robert Archibald led the winners with 20 points apiece. Tyus Edney and Sergiy Lishchuk each added 19, Rodney Buford had 13 while Yahor Meshcharakou got 11 for Azovmash, that led 58-55 at the end of a spectacular first half. Azovmash boosted its margin to 87-69 after 30 minutes and cruised to a well-deserved win. Sumykhimprom registered an important win by downing Politekhnika Lvovskaya 102-77 behind 27 points from Rostislav Krivych. In other games, Budivelnyk thrashed Dnipro 90-63, Kryvbasbasket topped Odessa 74-65 while BC-93 Pulsar downed Cherkasy Monkeys 109-87 behind 27 points from Anatoli Dubnyuk.
