Lietuvos Rytas remained undefeated in the Lithuanian League by stomping on Arvi – Suduva 70-102 on Saturday. L. Rytas improved to 12-0 and took a three-victory lead over defending champion Zalgiris, which was idle this week. The visitors took care of business early, taking a double-digit first period lead and stretching it to 36-60 by halftime, which would be more than enough the rest of the way. Martynas Gecevicius led the winners with 20 points, Andrius Slezas added 18, Marijonas Petravicius 16 in just eight minutes, Mindaugas Lukauskis scored 15 and Jared Jordan dished 7 assists. Jackson Vroman scored 8 points in seven minutes in his debut. Marius Valukonis paced Suduva with 19. In other games, Neptunas Klaipeda scored a 67-79 away win over Nevezis behind by 29 points from Vaidutas Pridokas, Siauliai improved to 7-5 by edging Atletas Kaunas 84-89 on the road thanks to Antonio Grant’s 27 points and a 16-point, 8-rebound outing from Donatas Zavackas. On Friday, Techasas bested Sakalai on the road 81-86 behind Christopher Hill’s 21 points and 10 assists. Justinas Sinica scored 25 for Sakalai in defeat.
