Olympic Fribourg downed BC Boncourt 99-81 at home to continue to be the uncontested leader of the Swiss League with a 15-2 record. Dave Esterkamp led the way with 28 points, while Erroyl Bing nailed 16. Carlo Henrique Ferro had 29 for the guests. Olympic built a 17-5 margin after six minutes and went ahead at halftime 50-39, never looking back. The second place Lugano Tigers suffered an away defeat after an extra session with Geneva Devils, 90-85. Lugano started on fire leading 13-27 at the end of the first quarter, but the hosts climbed back pushed by an amazing performance from Rashard Lee, who netted 33 points. They led 58-53 at the end of the third quarter, before Lugano tied it at 75-75 at the end of regulation. Cedric Mafuta added 16 for the winners, while Dusan Mladjan had 31 for the Tigers. In other games, Jarred McCurry bagged 25 points to lead the Birstal Starwings over Sion Herens 70-73 on the road, Nyon downed Mnthey 68-57 as Charlie Mandic had 20 points, Lausanne topped Vevey Riviera 88-76 behind 34 points from Alvaro Calvo and Vacallo got 23 points from Slaven Smilijanic to defeat Meyrin 74-66.
