Portuguese League, Game 14: February 10, 2008
Ovarense Aerosoles bounced back from its loss in the Portuguese League Cup last week by downing Belenenses Hyundai Lusifor 66-81 on the road on Sunday. Ovarense improved to 13-1 and keeps leading the standings while Belenenses dropped to 5-9. Gregory Stempin led the winners with 21 points and 11 rebounds. Rui Mota added 12 points while Cordell Henry had 11 for Ovarense, that led 33-45 at halftime and opened the second half with a 2-10 run, enough to keep a double-digit lead all the way until the final buzzer. Porto Ferpinta improved to 11-3 by edging CAB Madeira 68-70 on the road also on Sunday. Paulo Cunha led the winners with 24 points and 11 rebounds while Nuno Marcal and Fred Gentry each added 13 points for Porto. In other games on Sunday, Lusitania Angra Patrimonio Mundial edged Casino Figueira Ginasio 55-61 while Vagos Lusavouga Dewalt topped Futebol Clube Barreirense 90-83 behind 29 points and 10 rebounds from Tyrone Levett.
