Dutch League, Regular Season, Game 31: February 19-21, 2008
The top teams in the Dutch League were all victorious in their midweek games, maintaining the status quo with MyGuide Amsterdam in first place, West Brabant Giants in second and defending champion EiffelTowers Den Bosch in third. MyGuide routed Aris Friesland 112-81 to improve its record to 24-4. Amsterdam outscored Aris 49-28 in the middle two periods to wrap up the victory. Shieku Kabba led seven Amsterdam scorers in double figures with 18 points and Avis Wyatt added 16. The Giants scored an 87-106 road win at Zorg & Zekerheid thanks to Tim Blue and Andrew Harris, who combined for 52 points. The EiffelTowers turned a 1-point halftime deficit into a double-digit lead by the end of the third period to beat Hanzevast Capitals 101-88. Robert Owens scored 27 and Damone Brown and Darrell Tucker added 23 points apiece to lead the winners, while Rogier Jansen and Kevin Melson scored 20 each, Raoul Heinen had 16 and Guido Grunheid 15 in defeat. In other games, Landstede downed Upstairs Weert 79-97 thanks to Robby Bostain’s 31 points and the Rotterdam Challengers beat Den Helder Seals 84-75 as behind 19 points from Chaz Briggs.
