Milt Palacio - Partizan Igokea Partizan Igokea is all but mathematically the Adriatic League regular season champion, as it improved to 20-2 by edging Buducnost 64-68 in Podgorica on Saturday. Milt Palacio paced the winners with 18 points. Nikola Pekovic posted a double-double of 15 points and 10 rebounds while Novica Velickovic had 11 points for Partizan. Zadar went down to 17-6 due to a 83-87 overtime home loss against Helios Domzale. Union Olimpija and Hemofarm Stada tie for third place at 14-9. Olimpija beat Split CO 87-72 in Ljubljana on Sunday behind 17 points from Ronell Taylor. Meanwhile, Rawle Marshall had 23 points to lead Hemofarm to a 82-76 home win against Geoplin Slovan. FMP improved to 13-10 by edging Crvena Zvezda 95-98 in Belgrade on Saturday. Zoran Erceg paced FMP with 31 points and 8 rebounds. Omar Cook led Zvezda with 26 points. Cibona improved to 13-9 by edging Zagreb CO 89-85 behind 26 points and 9 assists from Damir Mulaomerovic. In other games, Siroki Prima pivo edged Vojvodina Srbijagas 83-73.

Partizan returned to action in the Adriatic League by edging Buducnost 64-68 in Podgorica on Saturday. Partizan improved to 20-2 while Buducnost dropped to 12-11. Palacio paced the winners with 18 points. Pekovic posted a double-double of 15 points and 10 rebounds while Velickovic had 11 points for Partizan. Nemanja Gordic had 12 points and Buducnost while Ivan Maras added 10. Partizan overcame an early deficit to get a 14-18 edge after 10 minutes. A put-back basket by Vladimir Dragicevic tied it at 34-34 but Partizan regained a 36-39 edge at halftime. A layup by Palacio boosted the guests' lead to 46-54 after 30 minutes. Free throws by Gordic got Buducnost within 64-67 already in the final minute but Palacio sealed the outcome from the foul line. Union Olimpija improved to 14-9 by beating Split CO 87-72 in Ljubljana on Sunday. Taylor led the winners with 17 points. Maurice Bailey added 15, Sasa Doncic had 12 while Goran Dragic got 11 for Olimpija, that already led 45-33 at halftime. Split got within 50-45 midway through the third quarter, but Taylor and an outstanding Bailet stepped up to seal the outcome, 74-54, early in the fourth period. Hemofarm Stada also moved up to 14-9 by topping Geoplin Slovan 82-76 behind 23 points from Rawle Marshall. Savovic added 14 points, Milivoje Bozovic had 12 and Milan Macvan 10 for Hemofarm, that trailed 41-44 at halftime. A 15-2 run that Marshall capped with a put-back layup gave Hemofarm a 56-46 margin late in the third quarter. Free throws by Macvan sealed the outcome, 82-66, as Slovan only rallied once the outcome was clear.

FMP confirmed its good moment by edging Crvena Zvezda 95-98 in Belgrade on Saturday. Both teams tie for fifth place at 13-10. Erceg paced the winners with 31 points and 8 rebounds. Nemanja Protic added 16 points while Predrag Samardziski had 15 for FMP. Cook led Zvezda with 26 points. Tadija Dragicevic added 20, Miroslav Raicevic had 14 while Boris Bakic got 13 on 9-for-9 free throws for the hosts, that led 76-71 after 30 minutes. Erceg singlehandedly put FMP back ahead, 80-81, while Samardziski had 4 points in a 0-6 run that gave the guests a 84-89 edge with 3 minutes to go. Mladen Jeremic and Protic stepped up in crunch time to make FMP cruise to a well-deserved win. Cibona improved to 13-9 by edging Zagreb CO 89-85 in a local derby on Saturday. Mulaomerovic led the winners with 26 points and 9 assists. Chris Warren added 16 points, Marin Rozic had 14 while Luksa Andric and Barisa Krasic each got 11 for Cibona, that trailed 78-82 after 36 minutes. Krasic and Warren fueled a 7-0 run and even when Krunoslav Simon tied the game again, 85-85, free throws by Warren and Mulaomerovic sealed the outcome down the stretch. Zadar dropped to 17-6 due to a 83-87 overtime home loss against Helios Domzale. Robert Troja and Aljaz Janza paced the winners each with 23 points. Juby Johnson had 25 points for Zadar, Corey Brewer added 17 while Todor Gecevski and Shammel Stallworth each got 13 for the hosts, whose last lead came at 77-74 late in regulation. Jack Ingram stroke from downtown to force overtime, 77-77, while Troha had 8 points in the extra period to seal the outcome.
