BSC Raiffeisen Furstenfeld downed defending champion Allianz Swans Gmunden on Sunday to grab a share of the top spot in the Austrian League. Furstenfeld came from behind to edge Gmunden 83-84 and take advantage of the Oberwart Gunners' loss to slide into a share of first at 21-8. The Swans and Kapfenberg Bulls sit tied for third with one win less. Samu Grum led Furstenfeld to the big win with 26 points and 6 assists. Shetlon Colwell added 17 points and Michael Fraser had a double-double of 12 points and 10 rebounds. Deteri Mayes paced Gmunden with 22 points, Kevin Johnson added 16 and Ian Boylan and Matthias Mayer scored 14 each. Oberwart blew an early double-digit lead to lose at home to WBC Kraftwerk Wels 79-82 behind 23 and 21 points respectively from Tilo Klette and Kendrick Davis. In other games, the Bulls trounced UBC St. Polten 66-91 thanks to Shawn Ray's 38 points and Arkadia Traiskirchen beat Xion Dukes Klosterneuburg 100-93.
