Ukrainian League, Game 21: March 22, 2008

BC Kyiv stayed undefeated in the Ukrainian League and improved to 21-0 in the league table by thrashing the Cherkasy Monkeys 88-61. Kyiv will finish the Ukrainian League regular season undefeated if it beats archrivals Azovmash in Mariupol next week. Manu Markoishvili paced the winners with 24 points. Marko Maravic added 14, Artur Drozdov had 12 while Vladimir Krstic got 10 in yet another easy win for Kyiv. Azovmash went down to 17-4 but stayed second despite a 73-66 road loss against Khimik. Goran Cakic led the winners with 20 points while Sasa Bratic added 17 for Khimik. Panos Liadelis led Azovmash with 15 points, Tomas Delininkaitis added 13, Gerrod Henderson had 11 while Serhiy Lishchuk got 10 for the guests, that trailed 48-37 after 30 minutes and did not manage to complete their fourth-quarter rally. Sumykhimprom improved to 12-8 by downing BC-93 Pulsar 109-92 behind 28 points from Rostislav Krivych and 25 from his brother Igor. In other games, Politekhnika Lvov topped Dnipro 83-65 while Mykolaiv edged Odessa 77-78.
