Alba Berlin sits alone atop the German League after the Artland Dragons and Bayer Giants Leverkusen were both upset. Alba Berlin improved to 20-6 with a 73-64 win over Eisbaren Bremerhaven. Bobby Brown scored 18 and Immanuel McElroy and Dragan Dojcin came up with some key fourth-quarter points to lead Berlin. Artland and Leverkusen each have one less win. The Dragons fell apart in the fourth quarter and lost 73-80 at home against digibu Baskets. Tim Black and Steve Esterkamp combined for 37 points for the winners. ratiopharm Ulm had an exceptional shooting night to down Leverkusen 105-87. Ernest-Joseph Gallup had 19 points, Jeff Gibbs recorded a double-double and Dru Joyce dished 11 assists for Ulm, trumping Brant Bailey's 26 points. Jared Reiner dominated inside to lead Brose Baskets to its first road win in a month. Reiner had 17 points and 14 boards as the defending champs beat EnBW Ludwigsburg 66-71. The Koln 99ers stopped a four-game losing streak with an 82-70 win over TBB Trier. All five Koln starters had at least 11 points led by Milko Bjelica's 23 points. The Deutsche Bank Skyliners pulled away in the fourth quarter to beat New Yorker Phantoms Braunschweig 65-77. Ilian Evitmov led the charge with 24 points and 9 rebounds and Derrick Allen added 19 for Frankfurt. In other games, last placed Science City Jena routed BG 74 Gottingen 59-74 for its second straight win as Jason Miller came off the bench for 20 points, EWE Baskets Oldenburg downed LTi Giessen 46ers 76-83 as Ricky Paulding played 40 minutes and scored 18 and Telekom Baskets Bonn edged Walter Tigers Tubingen 73-77.

Berlin led by just 1 point heading into the fourth quarter, but Immanuel McElroy helped the hosts stay ahead and a key triple and 2 free throws by Dragan Dojcin put it away. Bobby Brown led Berlin with 18 points, Dojcin and Patrick Femerling had 14 points and 8 rebounds each, McElroy added 11 and Aleksandar Nadjfeji had 10. Anthony Tolliver paced Bremerhaven with 21 points and 14 rebounds, but starting center Matt Haryasz had his worst game of the season, fouling out in 19 minutes with only 1 point and 3 rebounds.
The Artland Dragons fell out of first place after a 73-80 loss at home against digibu Baskets. In their first game since getting eliminated from the ULEB Cup, Artland had its worst scoring and defensive period of the game in fourth as it was outscored 17-25. The hosts committed 16 turnovers – 9 more than digibu – and were just 3 for 16 (18.8%) from downtown. Tim Black scored 20 and Steve Esterkamp had 17 to lead digibu. Leon Rodgers posted 15 points and 9 rebounds for Artland, Adam Chubb added 12 and Darius Hall 10. Jared Reiner dominated inside to lead Brose Baskets to its first road win in a month. Reiner had 17 points and 14 boards as the defending champs beat EnBW Ludwigsburg 66-71. Bamberg took control early with an 11-22 first quarter, but the hosts came back with an 18-9 third quarter. However a 0-15 charge with baskets from Mithat Demirel, Reiner, Ademola Okulaja und Predrag Suput iced the win. Okulaja and Suput finished with 11 and 10 points, respectively, for Bamberg.
