Nothing changed atop the Lithuanian League standings, as Lietuvos Rytas stayed ahead everyone else with a 15-0 record despite not playing this week. Zalgiris is second at 12-2 by beating Nevezis 101-91 in Kaunas on Saturday. Damir Markota led the winners with 21 points and 11 rebounds. Marko Popovic added 19 on 5-for-7 three-pointers, Goran Jurak had 15, Jonas Maciulis and Mantas Kalnietis each got 13 while Mamadou Ndiaye contributed 12 for Zalgiris, that trailed 64-65 midway through the third quarter. Jurak led an 11-0 run that put Zalgiris ahead for good, 75-65. Popovic took over in the final period to make Zalgiris get another win. Siauliai moved up to 11-6 by topping Arvi-Suduva 100-87 at home behind 24 points from Antonio Grant. Donatas Zavackas added 16, Marius Prekevicius and Mantas Ruikis each had 12 while Gediminas Maceina and Arturas Masiulis got 11 apiece for Siauliai, that led 75-70 with 8 minutes to go. Ruikis stroke three times from downtown to seal the outcome long before the final buzzer. In other games, Alytus edged Aisciai-Atletas 96-92 on Saturday, while Arvi-Suduva topped Atletas 84-87 and then downed Sakalai 119-117 in double overtime behind 22 points from Virginijus Sirvydis.
