Polish League, Regular Season, Game 25: March 26, 2008
David Logan - PGE Turow With only one game remaining in the Polish League regular season, everything is clear at the top of the table, but there are many questions below. PGE Turow Zgorzelec defeated Atlas Stal Ostrow 87-71 on Wednesday to wrap up the top spot and home-court advantage throughout the playoffs for the first time in franchise history. Defending champion Prokom Trefl, which won the previous three regular seasons in Poland, will be second following an 89-72 home win over Kotwica Kolobrzeg. Anwil Wloclawek will finish third despite taking just one victory in its last seven games. This time Anwil lost 71-72 to Polpharma. Tony Weeden gave the guests the victory making 1 of 2 free throws as time ran out and finishing with 17 points. Andrzej Pluta had 18 for the hosts. Polonia Warsaw extended its slim hopes of staying in the top division by beating Basket Kwidzyn 82-95 on the road behind 28 points from Greg Harrington. Dariusz Puncewicz scored 17 for Kwidzyn. AZS Koszalin is still in the race for fourth place thanks to an 81-76 home decision over Gornik Walbrzych. Denis Korszuk led winners with 17. Polpak Swiecie easily beat Czarni Slupsk 75-55 behind 24 points from Bobby Dixon.

PGE Turow Zgorzelec defeated Atlas Stal Ostrow 87-71 on Wednesday to wrap up the top spot and home-court advantage throughout the playoffs for the first time in franchise history. David Logan had 22, Marko Scekic 20 and Thomas Kelati 18 including 5 triples for Turow. John Oden scored 17 for Stal. Defending champion Prokom Trefl recorded an 89-72 home win over Kotwica Kolobrzeg. Filip Dylewicz made all of his 8 attempts from the field for 22 points to lead Prokom. Donatas Slanina added 15, while Pape Sow finished with a double-double of 14 points and 14 rebounds for Prokom.
