CSU Asesoft Ploiesti improved to 23-2 and keeps leading the Romanian League regular season with one game to go before the playoffs by topping CSU Brasov 76-89 on the road on Saturday. Brasov overcame a double-digit deficit to get a 59-55 lead after three quarters, but Arvydas Cepulis and Rodney Elliott led a game-breaking 4-18 run that sealed the outcome, 63-72, midway through the fourth quarter. In other games, U Mobitelco Cluj Napoca thrashed CSM Leonardo Oradea 84-53, Dinamo Bucuresti edged CS Otopeni 95-94, CSU Atlassib Sibiu topped Elba Timisoara 83-71, Rapid Dromeas Bucuresti thrashed BC Targu Mures 101-83, BC Targoviste defeated Arges Pitesti 75-61 while BC Ramnicu Valcea downed Gaz Metan Medias 80-66. The Romanian League regular season comes to an end next week and the best eight teams will advance to the playoffs.
