Defending champion CEZ Basket Nymburk continued its dominance of the Czech League with an 84-67 win over A Plus OHL ZS Brno on Thursday. Days after winning the Czech Cup for its first title of the season, Nymburk recorded its 26th consecutive league win to improve to 38-1. Ladislav Sokolovsky scored 21 and Radoslav Rancik added 20 points and 8 rebounds to lead the way. The game was relatively close for 30 minutes, but Nymburk defense limited Brno to just 10 fourth-quarter points. David Machac paced Brno with 18. Meanwhile Geofin Novv Jicin stayed on course to finish the regular season in second place by blasting BK Kondori Liberec 101-71 as Joseph Chapman and Ondrej Soska led seven Novv Jicin scorers in double figures with 14 points apiece. In other games, Marton Bader posted 23 points and 10 rebounds to lead BK Prostejov to a 99-53 rout of BK Ustí nad Labem, NH Ostrava downed BK Sadska 97-67 behind 21 points from Rostislav Uhlir, BK Decín edged BK Synthesia Pardubice 81-79 and USK Praha topped BC Kolin 74-86.
