Travis Young - EiffelTowersMyGuide Amsterdam won a thrilling double-overtime game over the Den Helder Seals on Saturday to clinch first place in the regular season. Amsterdam will now have home-court advantage throughout the playoffs. Head coach Arik Shivek’s charges improved to 29-7 – three wins more than the second place West Brabant Giants, which only has two games remaining. Amsterdam has four more games to play. Tamien Trent scored 23 to lead Amsterdam, Teddy Gipson added 22 points and 5 steals and Peter van Paassen had 15 points and 10 rebounds. James Duffey led the Seals with 31 points and 12 rebounds and Robert Kulawick had 24. The EiffelTowers Den Bosch won in their return to league action after winning the Dutch Cup by downing Zorg&Zekerheid 89-97 on the road. Travis Young scored 18 points to lead six EiffelTowers scorers in double figures. Young also had 5 assists and 5 steals for the winners. Damone Brown added 17 points, Kees Akerboom Jr. had 14, Marcel Aarts and Darrell Tucker scored 12 each and Dean Oliver 11. David Chiotti led Zorg&Zekerheid with 25 points and 9 rebounds. In other games, Hanzevast Capitals pounded Aris Friesland 107-76 and the Rotterdam Challengers blasted Landstede 79-58.
