Portuguese League, Game 21: April 9-10, 2008
Portuguese League leader Ovarense Aerosoles finished the regular season on a down note with a 59-61 loss to Vagos Lusavouga Dewalt, which clinched third place in the standings. Vagos used a 4-13 fourth-quarter run to take control and got 4 clutch free throws from Tyrone Levett to seal the win. Ricardo Hill led Vagos with 22 points and 13 rebounds, while John Waller and Graham Brown had 17 and 14 points, respectively, for Ovarense in defeat. Second placed Porto also lost its regular-season finale, going down 71-85 to Lusitania Angra Patrimonio Mundial. Carlos Seixas scored 20 to lead Lusitania, which climbed to sixth in the standings. In other games, Barreirense bested CAB Madeira 69-84 and Ginasio defeated Belenenses 80-94. The quarterfinal playoff round matchups are as follows: Ovarense vs. Barreirense; Ginasio vs. Madeira; Porto vs. Belenenses; and Vagos vs. Lusitania.
