Serbian League, second phase, Game 2: April 9, 2008
Hemofarm Stada trounced Vizura 81-64 to become the only team to win the opening two games of the second phase of the Serbian League. Nebojsa Joksimovic and Rawle Marshall scored 14 points apiece to pace Hemofarm, which held Vizura to 14 points ine ach of the first two quarters as it built a 14-point halftime lead. Three other teams have yet to lose, but have not played two games yet either since defending champion Partizan Igokea’s first games were postponed due to its participation in the Euroleague Basketball Quarterfinal Playoffs. Meanwhile FMP butchered Red Star 94-73, doing much of the damage with a 27-14 second period that made it 55-37 at halftime. Dragan Labovic led FMP with 17 points, Bojan Krstovic added 15 points and 7 assists, Predrag Samardziski scored 13 and Zoran Erceg posted 11 points and 10 rebounds. Elmedin Kikanovic led Red Star with 18 points and Omar Cook scored 17. Vijvodina Srbijagas edged Boran 63-64 thanks to Goran Bajic’s 15 points and 12 rebounds.
