Julius Jenkins - Alba Berlin Alba Berlin saw off defending champion Brose Baskets Bamberg to remain atop the German League standings, but its chief competition also won to keep things close. Berlin bested Bamberg 83-68 as seven players scored at least 9 points, led by Aleksandar Nadjfeji with 14. Berlin improved to 23-6, one win more than second placed Bayer Giants Leverkusen, which in turn leads Artland Dragons by one win. Leverkusen downed Eisbaren Bremerhaven 86-104 thanks to 23 points and 12 rebounds from Eric Taylor, while Artland overcame Walter Tigers Tubingen 78-65. Rickey Paulding matched his season-high with 30 points as red-hot EWE Baskets Oldenburg came from behind to top ratiopharm Ulm 82-90 for its ninth straight win. The Deutsche Bank Skyliners defeated BG 74 Gottingen on the road as Maksym Shtein posted a career-high 24 points in 18 minutes and Derrick Allen added 20. Meanwhile the Koln 99ers defeated digibu Baskets 89-78 with Milko Bjelica netting 19. EnBW Ludwigsburg held on for a 70-65 win over New Yorker Phantoms Braunschweig as Ronald Ross and Nate Harris combined for 41 points. In other games, Telekom Baskets Bonn outlasted LTi Giessen 46ers 92-99 as Ronnie Burrell recorded 25 points and 10 rebounds and last placed Science City Jena bested TBB Trier 85-99 as Alexander Seggelke scored 22.

Alba Berlin saw off defending champion Brose Baskets Bamberg 83-68 to remain atop the German League standings. Berlin used its defense to take care of things early, outscoring Bamberg 24-5 in the second period to take a 41-21 halftime lead, from which it coasted to victory. Aleksandar Nadjfeji paced Berlin with 14 points, Julius Jenkins added 13, Immanuel McElroy scored 11 and Bobby Brown and Philip Zwiener had 10 each. Dwayne Mitchell led Bamberg with 16, Ademola Okulaja added 15, Predrag Suput 11 and Jared Reiner 10. Artland Dragons overcame Walter Tigers Tubingen 78-65 on the strength of a super third period. Tubingen held a 30-38 halftime advantage, but the Dragons went on a 31-10 romp in the third quarter to take control. Adam Chubb led the way for Artland with 21 points, Chad Prewitt added 19 and John Goldsberry dished 9 assists. Jermaine Anderson paced the Tigers with 21. The Koln 99ers defeated digibu Baskets 89-78 with Milko Bjelica netting 19. Brian Greene and Philipp Schwethelm added 18 points apiece and Derek Raivio scored 10 and dished 6 assists. Tim Black’s 33 in defeat were not enough.
