Lukoil Academic Sofia closed the Bulgarian League regular season undefeated after conquering 32 wins! Pero antic led the way on Wednesday with 27 points and Riste Stefanov added 24 as the defending champs beat Balkan Botevgrad 109-84. Meanwhile Spartak Pleven scored a crucial 89-92 win over Rilski Sportist, after an extra session to reach fourth place. Hrisimir Dimitrov had 23 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. In other games, Yambol edged Levski 77-76 and Cherno More downed CSKA 92-98. In the first playoff round, Rilski Sportist will face Dunav 2007 and Yambol will take on Academic Varna to decide the teams will meet Lukoil Acedmic Sofia and Levski in the quarterfinals, while Spartak Pleven-Cherno More and Balkan-CSKA will be the two other quarterfinal challenges.
