Danilo Gallinari - AJ Milano Last placed Cimberio Varese stunned league-leading Montepaschi Siena 80-76, ending the defending champs' 11-game winning streak. Varese got 29 points from Delonte Holland in recording its seventh win of the season. The home team went ahead by double figures in the first quarter and was up 16 heading into the fourth. Montepaschi made a late rally, but came up short. Air Avellino now sits alone in second place after it trounced Benetton Treviso 80-63 and Premiata Montegranaro downed Lottomatica Roma 59-78. Avellino improved to 22-10 as Nikola Radulovic and Eric Williams combined for 35 points and 14 rebounds. Montegranaro and Roma are now both 21-11 after Sharrod Ford posted 23 points in the road win. Meanwhile Upim Bologna opened a big early lead and coasted to a 104-88 win over Eldo Napoli as Joseph Forte shined with 31 points and 6 assists. Armani Jeans Milano edged Legea Scafati 88-92 as Danilo Gallinari paced six Milano scorers in double figures with 24 points. La Fortezza Bologna was also a road winner, beating Siviglia Wear Teramo 86-93 as Alan Anderson scored 23 and Brett Blizzard 23. In other games, Pierrel Capo d'Orlando beat Angelico Biella on the road 77-89, Tisettanta Cantu bested Snaidero Udine 83-76 behind 23 points from Gerald Fitch and Scavolini Spar Pesaro roughed up Solsonica Rieti 80-55 thanks to 18 points and 7 rebounds from Michael Hicks.

Ksistof Lavrinovic had 20 points and 9 rebounds for Montepaschi, Vlado Ilievski added 18 and Bootsy Thornton 17. Premiata Montegranaro downed Lottomatica Roma 59-78 for a key road win. The visitors limited Roma to 9 second-quarter points and 11 in the third to turn a 5-point deficit into a 17-point lead. Sharrod Ford posted 23 points and 7 rebounds, Ricky Minard added 18, Kiwane Harris 17 and Luca Vitali scored 11 and dished 8 assists for the winners. Roko-Leni Ukic paced Roma with 17, Erazem Lorbek added 14 and David Hawkins 12. Air Avellino trounced Benetton Treviso 80-63. The hosts outscored Benetton by more points in each period than the previous to earn an important win. Nikola Raduulovic scored 18 points, Eric Williams added 17 and Alex Righetti had 15 and al three took 7 rebounds apiece and Marques Green dished 16 assists to lead Avellino. Mario Austin scored 22 and Haris Mujezinovic 13 for Treviso in defeat.

Upim Bologna opened a big early lead and coasted to a 104-88 win over Eldo Napoli as Joseph Forte shined with 31 points and 6 assists. Upim went up 29-15 after 10 minutes and never looked back. Forte hit 5 of 7 three-pointers, but didn’t even have the best shooting night on his team as Dante Calabria went 5 for 6 from downtown en route to 21 points. Stefano Mancinelli and Dalibor Bagaric added 15 each and Horace Jenkins scored 12 for the winning side. Chris Monroe led Napoli with 17. Armani Jeans Milano edged Legea Scafati 88-92 as Danilo Gallinari paced six Milano scorers in double figures with 24 points. Scafati came back from 11 down to get within 88-89 in the last minute, but free throws by Ansu Sesay and Fabio Di Bella iced the win for Milano. Melvin Booker and Di Bella scored 13 each for the winners, Travis Watson added 12 points and grabbed 17 rebounds, Dusan Vukcevic had 11 points and Mindaugas Katelynas 10. Marcus Hatten scored 28 for Scafati in defeat.
