Croatian League, second phase, Game 7: April 19, 2008
Corey Brewer - Zadar Zadar improved to 7-0 in the Croatian League, as its second phase reached its halfway mark with some surprises this weekend. Zadar downed Sibenik 83-73 at home on Saturday. Shammel Stallworth led the winners with 20 points. Todor Gecevski added 19, Corey Brewer had 17 while Jere Macura got 11 for Zadar, that led 67-65 with 5 minutes to go. Gecevski and Juby Johnson stepped up to seal the outcome soon before the final buzzer. Split Croatia osiguranje stayed second at 6-1 by thrashing Svjetlost Brod 92-113 on the road also on Saturday. Marlon Garnett paced the winners with 25 points, Damjan Rudez added 22 while Dejan Ivanov had 20 for Split. Zagreb Crobenz is now third at 5-2 by downing archrivals Cibona 88-79 at home on Saturday. Chris Warren had 17 points for Cibona, Damir Mulaomerovic added 15, Sam Hoskin got 14 while Luksa Andric contributed 11 for the guests, who trailed 74-61 after 30 minutes and never recovered. In other games, Cedevita thrashed Dubrava with 24 points from Milan Parezanovic.
