Basket Bree keeps leading the Belgian League standings and improved to 24-7 by topping Generali Okapi Aalstar 75-84 on the road on Saturday. D'or Fisher paced the winners with 19 points and 10 rebounds. Brian Lynch added 17 points while Nick Jacobson and Doron Perkins each had 13 for Bree, that led 27-43 at halftime and stayed ahead until the final buzzer. Telindus BC Oostende stayed seconw now with a 23-8 record by thrashing Optima Gent 102-70 at home on Saturday. Chuck Davis led the way for Oostende with 21 points. Sam Van Rossom added 14, Titus Ivory had 13 while Elvir Ovcina and Jerry Green each got 11 for the winners, that led 56-34 at halftime and never looked back. Spirou Basket Charleroi is third at 22-9 by topping Spotter Leuven 62-74 on the road also on Saturday. Len Matela had 18 points for Charleroi, Tremmell Darden added 12 while Christophe Beghin and Jonathan Tabu each got 11 for the winners. Charleroi broke the game open in the third quarter and cruised to a well-deserved win. The Antwerp Diamond Giants dropped to 10-21 due to a 110-71 road loss against Belgacom Liege Basket on Friday. Andre Emmett led the winners with 34 points on 8-for-11 two-pointers, 5-for-5 triples and 9 steals. Brandon Gay had 23 points for the Giants, Ian Hanavan 14 and David Toya 12. Dexia Mons-Hainaut had beaten VOO Verviers-Pepinster 93-88 on April 1.
