Dutch League playoffs, Quarterfinals, Game 2: April 26, 2008
Kees Akerboom - EiffelTowers Defending champion EiffelTowers Den Bosch and MyGuide Amsterdam swept their way into the Dutch League playoff semifinals, while the two other series will go to a deciding Game 3. EiffelTowers bested Landstede 93-80 in Game 2 by outscoring the opponent in every period. Kees Akerboom Jr. paced EiffelTowers with 16 points, Dean Oliver added 14 and Travis Young had 13. Robby Bostain led Landstede with 22. Amsterdam put its game against Upstairs Weert away with an 18-7 en route to an 86-66 victory. Tamien Trent scored 16 and Teddy Gipson and Mohamed Abukar added 11 points apiece for MyGuide. Trey McDowell led Weert with 22. Matrixx Magixx evened its series with the Hanzevast Capitals with an 88-73 win. Alhaji Mohammed scored 19 and grabbed 8 rebounds to lead Matrixx Magixx, while the West Brabant Giants topped the Rotterdam Challengers 74-65 as Patrick Pope recorded 25 points and 6 assists. Game 3 of both live series takes place on Tuesday.
