Birstal Starwings tied their Swiss League semifinal series with Lugano Tigers with an 85-75 overtime win. The hosts dominated the overtime led by the duo of Sheray Thomas and Jarrod McCurry, who combined for 46 points for the night, while 29 points from Dusan Mladjan were not enough for the visitors to take control of the series, McCurry sent the game to overtime, while Zainoul Bah missed the potential three-pointer to give the win to the Tigers. On Sunday, Benetton Fribourg Olympic scored a huge 51-89 success over Vacallo on the road to tie the series at 1-1. The visitors took a slim 19-22 lead after 10 minutes, raising the cushion to 32-40 at halftime. In the second half, Olympic dominated the contest, holding Vacallo to score just 19 points in 20 minutes. Pascal Perrier-David led Fribourg with 21 points, Tresore Quidome had 16 and Harold Mrazek 12 for the winners, while Rickey Gibson bagged 15 for the hosts.
