Les Mans retained its two-game lead atop the French League standings by holding off Vichy 63-53 at home to improve to 21-7. Philip Ricci scored 16 points and Nicolas Batum had 13 for Le Mans, which surrendered just 6 Vichy points in the first quarter and fought off the guests for the win. Ricardo Greer collected 24 points and 11 rebounds as Nancy registered a 59-74 road victory over Cholet. Victor Samnick scored 15 points and Zabian Dowdell added 10 for Nancy, which is one of three teams with a 19-9 record. Roanne is also at 19-9 after an 81-75 win over Paris-Levallois thanks to 19 points from Marc Salyers, 16 by Brion Rush and 11 from Mohamed Kone. The third 19-9 team is Asvel Basket, which manhandled Clermont 101-68 as six players scored in double figures - Laurent Foirest (19), Yohann Sangare (17), Lamayn Wilson (16), Chevy Troutman (15), Uche Nsonwu-Amadi (13) and Robert Conley (10). Clermont wasted 31 points from Tony Skinn. Le Harve remained within striking distance of Le Mans at 18-10 after an 89-63 home win over Strasbourg with John Cox's 27 points pacing four players in double figures. For Strasbourg, John McCord had 15, Derrick Obasohan 14, Eddie Shannon 11 and Rob Lewin chipped in 10 points and 11 rebounds. Pau-Orthez continued its disappointing season by losing at home 88-95 to Hyeres-Toulon despite 28 points from Antonio Graves, 22 by Deji Akindele, 14 by Maximiliano Stanic and 10 from Ludovic Vaty. Hrvoje Perinic led Hyeres with 22 points. The quartet of Darrel Mitchell (24 points), John Ford (21), Rowan Barrett (13) and Bryan Bracey (11) led Chalon to an 81-87 road win over BCM Gravelines. And Damir Krupalija collected 23 points and 13 rebounds in Dijon's 66-73 victory away from home against Orleans.
