Lukoil Academic Sofia and Balkan Botevgrad are just a win from the Bulgarian League finals after each wonning Game 2 of their respective best-of-five semifinals series. Lukoil Acadcemic scored its 36th straight win of the season by thrashing Spartak Pleven 104-77 behind 26 points and 10 rebounds from Pero Antic and 23 from Nenad Canak. Academic led 56-46 at halftime and increased the cushion minute-by-minute during the second, with a final 21-10 run in the last quarter. Balkan took a crucial step to reach the Bulgarian League finals by winning their second game in a row at Levski, 73-78. Atanas Radev had 21 points for Balkan, while Dwayne Morton contributed with 18 points, 8 rebounds, 4 steals and 2 blocks. Leading 36-41 at halftime, Pavle Boljkovac beat the third-quarter buzzer from halfcourt to lead 56-62, then they keep Levski scoreless for more than three minutes to reach a double digit cushion, 56-66, never looking back.
