Austrian League playoffs, Semifinals, Game 4: May 8, 2008
Deteri Mayes - Swans Gmunden Defending Austrian League champion Allianz Swans Gmunden forced a fifth and deciding game in the playoff semifinals by beating BSC Raiffeisen Furstenfeld 105-92, while the Oberwart Gunners booked their spot in the finals by topping the Kapfenberg Bulls 72-81. The Swans stormed ahead with a 35-16 second period and never looked back to even the series 2-2. Deteri Mayes led the charge with 37 points, Ian Boylan added 25 and Kevin Johnson had 18 for Gmunden. Anthony Shavies scored 25 for Furstenfeld in defeat. Game 5 is set for Saturday in Furstenfeld. The Gunners got 21 points and 7 rebounds from Georg Florian to beat the Bulls and win the best-of-five semifinals series 3-1.
