Dutch League playoffs, Semifinals, Game 3: May 8, 2008
Robert Owens - EiffelTowersMatrixx Magixx Nijmegen stayed alive in the Dutch League playoffs, while the defending champion EiffelTowers Den Bosch went ahead 2-1 in their best-of-five semifinals by beating the West Brabant Giants. Matrixx Magixx crushed regular season champ MyGuide Amsterdam 69-91 on the road in Game 3 on Thursday night. The visitors outscored Amsterdam in each period to re-open the series, with Game 4 set for Saturday in Nijmegen. Chris Copeland paced Matrixx Magixx with 26 points and 8 rebounds and Todd Abernethy added 18. Jeron Roberts led Amsterdam with 17 and Tamien Trent scored 12. EiffelTowers outlasted the Giants 93-86 after heading into the fourth quarter down 68-69. Robert Owens led Den Bosch with 25 points, Marcel Aarts posted 16 points and 10 rebounds and Darrell Tucker scored 13. Andre Harris scored 20 for the Giants in defeat.
