PGE Turow Zgorzelec became the first team to advance to the Polish League finals by beating ASCO Slask 83-70, while defending champion Prokom took a 3-2 series lead over Polpak Swiecie and needs one victory more to join Turow and set up a rematch of last season’s final. Slask showed up for Game 5 without three key players – Rashid Atkins, Jared Homan and Dawan Robinson. Atkins and Homan were released by the club, while Robinson was injured. Though Slask was able to play equal game with Turow through the first three quarters, Turow then caught the rhythm and thanks to a good performance by David Logan won the game. Logan had 26 points, Dragisa Drobnjak added 17 and Iwo Kitzinger posted 14. Torrell Martin led the losers with 16 points, Kamil Chanas added 14 and Oliver Stevic had 12. Prokom had no problems beating Polpak Swiecie 88-67 in Game 5. Prokom led throughout the game. Milan Gurovic led the winners with 27 points – 16 points from the free-throw line. Filip Dylewicz added 15 and 9 rebounds and Pape Sow score 13. Booby Dixon led the losers with 18, but fouled out in the third quarter. Nikola Lepojevic added 12 and Eric Hicks 11.
