Lukoil Academic Sofia scored a huge 93-64 win over Balkan Botevgrad in Game 1 of the best-of-five Bulgarian League finals. Still unbeaten domestically this season, Academic led 26-17 after 10 minutes and 49-31 at halftime before simply managing the match in the second half. Willie Deane led five players in double figure with 21 points, Pero Antic amassed a double-double of 17 points and 11 rebounds, Todor Stoykov scored 15 and Nenad Canak and Riste Stefanov added 12 apiece. Just two players scored in double figures for Balkan: Atans Radev who nailed 17 and Pavle Boljkovac with 10.
