The Croatian League second phase came to an end on Tuesday with Zadar, Split CO, Cibona and Zagreb Crobenz advancing to the upcoming semifinal playoffs. Zadar was the second phase champion with a 13-1 record by thrashing Sibenik 77-94 on the road. Corey Brewer paced the winners with 18 points, Rok Stipcevic added 15, Andrej Stimac and Juby Johnson each had 12 while Jure Lalic got 11 for Zadar, that led 37-46 at halftime and did not give Sibenik any option after the break. Split finished second at 11-3 by overwhelming Svjetlost Brod 103-69 at home. Hrvoje Peric led the winners with 33 points on 14-for-18 two-pointers. Damjan Rudez added 27 while Marko Batina had 12 in an easy home win for Split, that sat out Marlon Garnett and Dejan Ivanov. Cibona was third at 10-4 by thrashing cross-town rivals Zagreb 104-87 at home. Cibona needed a 10-point win to be third, as Zagreb also finished with a 10-4 record and had down its opponents 88-79 in its home court. Damir Mulaomerovic led the way for Cibona with 28 points and 7 assists. Chris Warren added 22, Vedran Vukusic had 13 while Barisa Krasic got 10 for the winners. Cibona led 46-39 at halftime and boosted its margin to 82-62 after 30 minutes to get a major win. In other games, Cedevita topped Dubrava 84-92 behind 20 points from Domagoj Basic. The semifinal matchups ara Zadar - Zagreb and Split - Cibona.
