Igokea Partizan handed Bosna ASA BHT its second straight loss in the Bosnia and Herzegovina League Wednesday and leapfrogged into first place on a tiebreaker with an 83-73 victory. The result leaves three teams – Igokea, Bosna and defending champion Siroki Prima pivo – tied for the best record in this phase of the season at 8-2 with four games to go. Bosna took charge early and led 18-26 after 10 minutes, but Igokea turned the tables and held the visitors to just 9-second period points in tying the game at 35-35 by halftime. After a tense third quarter, the hosts pulled away in the last 10 minutes to register the win. Tautvydas Lydeka paced Igokea with 22 points, Stjepan Stazic added 16 and Nikola Vucurovic had 15 as the club won its fourth in a row. Bryan Bailey led the Bosna effort with 17 points, followed by Dewayne Jefferson with 15, Goran Ikonic with 12 and Lance Williams with 10. Siroki bested Grude 83-75 as Greg Grays and Sinisa Stemberger netted 19 points apiece. In other games, Slavija edged Zrinjski 96-97 and Borac Nektar kept the race for fourth place wide open by smashing Sloboda Dita 88-68 as Robert Rothbart scored 18.
