Bulgarian League Finals, Game 2: May 15, 2008

Lukoil Academic is now just one win away from its sixth straight Bulgarian League title after beating Balkan 79-65 in Game 2 of the best-of-five finals. Willie Deane scored 21 to lead Academic, which used a 14-0 first-period charge to take an early double-digit lead. Balkan battled back, but the hosts led 43-31 by halftime and increased the advantage to as many as 26 in the second half while cruising to victory. Larry O'Bannon added 17 points and 5 steals for the winners, Riste Stefanov scored 16 points and Pero Antic posted 9 points and 13 rebounds. Dwayne Morton led Balkan with 24 points and Lubo Lilov added 12. Game 3 is set for Monday.
