Austrian League Finals, Game 3: May 18, 2008
Jay Youngblood - Oberwart Gunners The Oberwart Gunners regained the lead in the best-of-five Austrian League Finals by beating Raiffeisen Panthers Furstenfeld 97-82 in Game 3. The Gunners will try for their first ever Austrian championship when they travel to Furstenfeld for Game 4 on Thursday. The Panthers scored the game’s first basket, but would never lead again. Oberwart led 30-22 after 10 minutes and went up by double figures early in the second. Furstenfeld didn’t quit, closed the gap to 52-45 by halftime. However the visitors wouldn’t get closer depite challenging throughout the second half and the Gunners held on for the big win. Jay Youngblood paced the Gunners with 25 points, Domonique Crawford added 21 and Jason Johnson 14. Shelton Colwell paced the Panthers with a game-high 29 points, Anthony Shavies contributed 16 and Samo Grum 11.
