The Croatian League semifinals are all even after Cibona and Zagreb both won Game 2 at home to set up deciding Game 3s on Saturday. Defending champion Cibona beat Split CO 96-87, while Zagreb topped Zadar in overtime 96-92. Cibona trumped Split on the strength of a 29-15 second period, which gave the hosts the lead for good. Cibona also benefited from a 12-for-25 shooting performance from downtown. Damir Mulaomerovic, who was 4 for 9 from behind the arc and 12 for 14 from the free-throw line, led Cibona with 26 points and 6 assists, Marin Rozic added 21, Sam Hoskin posted 15 points and 9 rebounds, Franko Kastropil scored 11 and Chris Warren 10. Marlon Garnett netted 31 and Hrvoje Peric had 19 for Split. Meanwhile Zagreb also set the tone in the second period when it outscored Zadar 26-10 for a 46-29 halftime lead, but Zadar made it all back with an 11-29 third quarter. Neither Zagreb's Kruno Simon nor Zadar's Corey Brewer could lift their team over the other in a tense fourth quarter and the game went to overtime, where Vedran Morovic and Ante Tomic gave the hosts the lead and despite the best efforts of Shammel Stallworth, Zagreb held on to win. Simon finished with 24 for the winners, Mario Dundovic added 22 and Tomic had 17. Brewer paced Zadar with 29 points, Todor Gecevski scored 17, Stallworth 14, Juby Johnson 13 and Andrej Stimac recorded 11 points and 12 rebounds.
