Polish League Finals, Game 3: May 24, 2008
Milan Gurovic - Prokom Trefl Prokom Trefl Sopot bounced back from its initial losses in the best-of-seven Polish League finals by beating PGE Turow Zgorzelec 80-76 at home in Game 3 on Saturday. Turow still leads the series 2-1 but Prokom hosts Game 4 in Sopot tomorrow. Milan Gurovic paced the winners with 34 points on 6-for-9 two-pointers, 5-for-9 triples and 7-for-7 free throws. Jovo Stanojevic posted a double-double of 18 points and 10 rebounds while Igor Milicic had 11 points for Prokom. Mario Skecic led Prokom with 20 points. David Logan added 18 while Harding Nana had 15 for the guests, whose star forward Thomas Kelati was limited to just 3 points today. Gurovic had 15 points in the first quarter to make Prokom get a 21-12 lead after 10 minutes. Turow found a go-to guy in Logan, who helped Turow to get within 34-29 at halftime. Three-pointers by Milicic and Donatas Slanina made it a 15-point game, 52-37, but Turow was not done. Nana and Skecic fueled the guests' comeback, as Turow managed to tie the game, 65-65. Turow trailed 77-76 with seconds to go but Gurovic stepped up with a three-point play that allowed Prokom to win it down the stretch.
