For the second year in a row, Buducnost Podgorica has won the national club championship of Montenegro. Buducnost defeated Mogren Budva 94-70 on Sunday to sweep their best-of-five playoff finals 3-0 and take the second champions title ever awarded in Montenegro. Since Buducnost won the national cup both seasons, the club has all the domestic trophies since Montenegro became independent. Indeed, this season, Buducnost did not lose a single game on its way to the title. After playing in the ULEB Cup and Adriatic League, it won all 10 Montenegrin League games by 20 points on average. Buducnost was also the only team in the league with positive point-difference. Mogren ended regular season with 6-4 record. In the final, Buducnost won Game 1 at home Podgorica by 25 points, 115-90, and Game 2 in Budva by 38 points, 63-101. Buducnost forward Vladimir Dasic was the dominant force of the Montenegrin League, as its leading scorer and stealer, and among the best in rebounds and assists. Buducnost won despite playing the national championship without four players who led team in the ULEB Cup and Adriatic League: Vladislav Dragojlovic, Bojan Bakic, Nenad Mijatovic and Zarko Rakocevic.
